Hi I'm Ryan and I'm a full-time freelance writer.

I grew up near Fort William in Scotland where my family owned a small sheep farm, in the shadow of Ben Nevis.

For as long as I can remember "the great outdoors" has been a part of my life and in the times when I'm not writing I like nothing more than hiking, riding my bike, or when the seasons and place allow - sliding down the mountain on my board or skis.

My freelance writing has and still does allow my partner and I to tour Europe. During the last 2 or 3 years, we've spent the majority of our time at various places in the Alps and Pyrenees and next year we're preparing for a trip to the States for a coast to coast trip to help with the groundwork of a book I wish to create. Surprising enough, the book is everything about the Great Outdoors ...

I've had my work posted on numerous "outdoorsy" sites in addition to being a regular writer to a specialist snow sport website and an MTB magazine - a few of you may have even read some of my work ...
